Fathers join Culver at stem cell news conf.

On Wednesday, 14, 2007, the Iowa Senate approved legislation allowing stem cell treatments and research in Iowa. Governor Chet Culver held a press conference on the same subject later that day with two fathers whose children could benefit from stem cell research.

Pharmacy students visit Capitol


Pharmacy students converged on the Iowa Statehouse Tuesday, offering health care checkups and talking with legislators about health care in Iowa and the high cost of tuititon. Xin Wang gave Senator Amanda Ragan a complimentary blood pressure screening. Wang will graduate when she completes Drake University’s six year pharmacy program.
